Our July General Meeting will be a departure from the usual format and is an opportunity for all members to gather in the beautiful goldfields town of Creswick.
Making your own way to Creswick with an arrival time of 10.30 am for morning tea at The American Hotel, 90 Albert Street, Creswick.
Our guest speaker is Tom Clarke, internationally recognised as one of the leading historians on the Rolls-Royce motor car company. Tom is an esteemed member of our branch and recently returned from residing in the UK for many years. Tom will lead us on an historical romp through the successful Western Districts families who enthusiastically purchased Rolls-Royce motor cars from the very beginning, 1906 through to the 1950’s. This came about by the clever promotion of the marque by Charles Kellow when he became the local agent of Rolls-Royce motor cars.
The presentation and lunch will be held in the American Hotel’s upstairs dining room where the day will begin with morning tea at 10.30 am, with formalities from 11am.
Lunch:
Luncheon will be held in the same room from 12 Noon where there will be a choice of three meals each priced around $32.
