Notice of Special Resolution and General Meeting

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION

Proposed amendments to the branch rules with explanatory notes. NOTICE is hereby given that at the monthly members’ general meeting, to be held on Thursday 10 April starting at 7:30pm at Bill Allsep House, 3/18 Laser Drive, Rowville VIC 3178, a special resolution to amend the Rules of the Association will be put to the members for approval and ratification.

BACKGROUND AND PROCESS

The Club’s Rules need to respond to the rapidly changing environment in which the Club operates. These changes include technology, economics, the motor industry, the classic car organisations, member demographics and the regulatory environment. Amendments to the Club’s rules are therefore necessary. The secretary of the club, Larry Picker, has processed the changes after a committee discussion in late 2024. The changes were then reviewed by Larry’s predecessor, Brian Williams. Brian is now the secretary of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club of Australia Ltd, our Federal Body. The changes were then reviewed by the Branch’s treasurer, Tony Wood. Finally they were presented to and reviewed by the Branch committee.

The changes are outlined and explained below.
